Lol. It's not like our fans haven't been yapping here. Their fans show up, are loud, raucous, cocky, and obnoxious. They also own the two national championships.

If they win today, it will revive all hope for a threepeat, at least for a few weeks.

If they lose, they sulk out of the Garden, hopefully with their heads down and 3 minutes to play, knowing for sure this isn't their year.

This is the one we've had circled on our calendars, the one all their fans used to overwhelm the garden with. Did our base wake up early enough to buy a majority of the single game tix? As late as December was able to buy 100s from our SJU agent. So I'm not sure of a 70/30 mix.

Let's just come out loud, and hope our guys come out strong to put a zipper on their lips.

“We are…St. John’s” is awkward and derivative.

“Let’s go Johnnies” is superior. If we are going to steal a chant, it might as well be something general that nobody can claim as their own.

So we chant Let’s Go Johnnies” at the end of a victory? Where are they going? To the showers, press conference and home? Do they chant “Let’s Go Yankees” or “Let’s Fo Met’s” at the end of their games?

“We are St. John’s” is a more than appropriate chant at the end of a game or a forthcoming victory that is assured near the end of the game. It is also a chant that goes back prior to me being a student so I am not sure we would be stealing it from anyone and that includes Marshall and Penn State.

Many years ago, when I first started posting I was informed that the proper vernacular when referring to the University of Connecticut is “Yukon” not UConn. I think we need to get our heads right and back to basics around here.
