Connecticut (MSG), Sun., Feb. 23, 12 Noon, FOX

Not that this team needs bulletin board material. However, since UConn rejoined the Big East, we have not beaten them at MSG (0-4). Crazy since they’ve lost to us 3x at their place.
I think this game will be a battle, but we break that “schneid” Sunday. There is something magical about this season and team. Much prefer RJ jetting to Lourdes today and playing though. We need his scoring, but maybe his rebounding even more.

I made a key mistake in trying to interpret Rickspeak. You have to actually watch and listen to Rickspeak. Especially don't go by clipped tweets, but reading it is very different than the tone.

Would be shocked if RJ isn't playing.

He literally said Kadary has the exact same injury but he knows how to play through pain and he is annoyed by the perception that he doesn't (thank you body soreness chants Seton Hall fans). Just sounds like Rick is playing the typical mind games + busting RJ's ass a little bit. He laughed and said he "doesn't know" & has been wrong all year.

100%. Rick prefaced his comment on RJ availability by saying ‘I’d be guessing, I haven’t been right yet.’ However Zach’s tweet did not indicate Rick’s tone.

Billy Goodwin proudly held this sign while sitting on the basket and was on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

He tells the story (on a recent Big East Rewind) of how he got up on top of the basket. Bill Wennington hoisted him, and he was a little scared so he sat on it.

I loved two Big East Rewind episodes about Lou.

1. Billy, Ronnie Stewart and Wennington reminiscing about each other and Lou their love for each other and for Coach was palpable. Made me proud to have them representing our team and school.

2. Chuck Everson and Sonny Spera going to Lou's home and interviewing him in person (first non-virtual interview and only one they've done). Both guys (Nova and Cuse) loved spedning time with Lou and Lou was engaging at 98 years. Special moment Sonny's cousin Buddy the Cake Boss (Buddy Valastro) baked special cookies for them all, Cuse, Nova, The Big East and a replica of Looie's Chevron sweater, Sonny said when he told Buddy he was going to visit Lou, Buddy got so excited). Those guys do a great job and are fond towards St. John's

McDermott gave you the proper template to interpret the stuff that Pitino says

Uconn has some big road wins vs creighton and marquette. Seems they play better vs good teams on the road.

I am not understanding the RJ thing. He was dressed and close to playing tonight. But he def cant play on Saturday?

Rick is making stuff up again.
He was nowhere close to playing last night, he just sat on the bench without taking his warmups off.
