I get pissed off because it is very hard to find March of the Wooden Soldiers on TV. I enjoy watching it from Barnabeys perspective!!!!!!
It’s on in NY two days a year - Thanksgiving and Christmas. WPIX - 11 at 9:00 am, and then usually again at 3:00 pm. Must see TV!

I don't have an easy fix for the ping notification problem, but if you want to get back at them, here is a ringtone for you. Short and longer version:
Android versions attached. I put this ringtone on my phone and I can confirm that it is annoying and worth complaining about...

I hate Steve Harvey at 2am but love Kenan Thompson playing Steve Harvey on SNL

Computer Problems. (insert several paragraphs of expletives here) How much of my life has been wasted on this crap. I remember wasting entire weekends F-Disking my old Windows 3 (Gateway) computers in the early 90s and it was just about a weekly thing for a while. Then I did the insane thing of running a network of Windows NT servers and and developing apps and supporting customers on them, which meant almost every overnight dealing with "emergencies" in addition to the ones during the day. Took me a few years to come to my senses and try out Linux servers along with BSD and even Mac X-Servers which were all 1000x times more reliable and less headache. Now I'm into my own personal technology apocalypse where pretty much every device I own has completely failed or is on life support. My Macbook is toast. Just unusable. A few months back one of my SSD drives failed then shortly after another one failed on my Mac Pro desktop. These ran my operating system. So I reinstalled Mac OS on a regular HD I had on board for file storage. My system is way slower now and it is really tedious to run certain apps on it - ie. agonizingly slow. Then yesterday both of the SSD drives F'Magically reappeared in my Finder along with a RAID volume. Unfortunately for some forsaken reason this RAID is over 3 years old and none of my files that are accessible are more recent than 3 years are there! Its just like a big tease. It's bizarre. For some reason there was a massive image of an old system and files from 2015 but the recent system/files is missing. Then 2 in the morning last night my external hard drive with 90% of my files and backups starts loudly whining. Wakes up my wife who thinks it is an alarm. That is how loud it was.
Did I mention that my wife dropped my iPhone in the toilet - TWICE! Now I'm on a cheap android that is actually decent for android apps but the phone itself is absolutely terrible. The speaker is worthless. Even in the ear I can barely make out what people are saying half the time.
Next post is about household appliances. Might as well start now... Last week the washing machine broke. Fixed broken belt and the thing started grinding gears so had to be replaced. Yesterday one of the kids dropped some sort of beaded bracelet down the garbage disposal. Trying to get it out and the entire garbage disposal falls off of the bottom of the sink. Awesome!
OK got that out. Now onto some Christmas cheer. #grateful

I hate the fact that customer service no longer exists in America. I hate voice prompts that make you listen to 6 options, with none being "press 1 to actually speak to a real human being right away". I don't think the operator even answers the phone anymore. Calling 411 or 800-555-1212 gets you a recording. I liked the good old days where each business had a living, breathing human being answer the phone, who would either resolve your problem or connect you to another human being that could.

WOW Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My only complaint with your complaint is that you could have written it in Greek and it would still be Greek to me. Thank God I haven't had to use RAID since I lived in a roach invested apartment in Texas. BSD is vaguely familiar. I think it has to do with Bondage & Spanking. ;)
Costco voicemail went to fourth menu before option I needed was listed.
should have gone in person and gotten the free food samples :)

Barbershops should be open on Sundays and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. My guy wonders why things are slow on weekday mornings. It's because we're all working!!!

Which is why I hate radio commercials with a car horn honking while I'm driving because I look around thinking I'm about to get into an accident. Should be illegal.

Honking horns and tailgating are the two main reasons for road rage. Mike Zaun does both but on redmen.com and not on the road.:p :p
Just kidding Mike!

Wow now that is real trouble JF...
and I have a solution, sterling solution, are you ready???

Choppin Charlie's (the grandfather deceased - father Joe and kids April and Charlie) is now open on Sundays - go to Sag Harbor Main Street and turn right across from Post Office!
Prices are fair (especially for the "Hamptons") and cuts are good!

all the best

My barbershop was open on Sundays for about 6 months to a year. They simply didn't do enough business on Sundays to warrant staying open.
