Several undefeated teams play tonight including St. John's, NC State, Virginia Tech, Georgia Southern, Nevada & North Texas. Of those NC State (Wisconsin) & North Texas (Oklahoma) appear to have toughest games.
Undefeated matchup in Pitt vs Iowa too, that game guarantees at least one less undefeated team by tomorrow morning.

Given how the B1G rolled through the B1G/BE Challenge I hope they run through this ACC Challenge equally. That would likely drop NC St and Pitt tonight. Don't see MD beating UVA tomorrow bu since they too are both undefeated that will drop one from the unbeaten as well.
North Texas and Va. Tech both went down. Iowa-Pitt locked in a close one.
Georgia Southern went down as well
Pitt goes down barely
that one has to sting for pitt fans. They really shouldn't have lost that game. Had the lead all game and then just started turning it over and fouling. They barely gave up any field goals in the second half, just a bunch of free throws and a handful of threes. Completely beat themselves.

Been impressed with them.

You can see Capel instilling a new attitude at Pitt.

I wonder if Virginia gobbles them too, or if they give Furman the territory. Not sure of the guy's methodology, but it's actually really compelling. Good job finding this.

thanks, yea i find it fascinating too, it will be pretty rewarding if we can somehow become the last undefeated and control the entire USA :)

Love this map as well. Just wanted to mention that Pitt was picked last in most ACC pre season polls so the complaint thread on the Iowa board must be buzzing today :).

I count 20 teams left as of this morning. UVA vs. Maryland tonight so there will be at least one less tomorrow. Michigan (vs. Tarheels) and Ohio State (vs. Cuse) also playing tonight. This is a lot of fun to follow.

That would be great. It will shine a great light on our schedule ;)

I don’t think it will reflect poorly at all if that happens. Hard to argue with if you win games. We still have to perform in the Big East and finish near the top. If we go into the Duke game undefeated, and give them a war, win or lose our OOC record won’t kill us at all. Wins still count and if we beat GTech, we will still have wins over Big-10, PAC-10, ACC teams. Just keep winning. If we can figure out a way to beat Duke again, it will really be a boost.

We will lose long before Duke game.

If in a few weeks if SJU is the only undefeated team no one nationally is going to make a big deal about it and yes the excuse will be the schedule is weak.

And they don't play Duke until February, therefore if SJU is undefeated at that point then they will have wins over Creighton, Nova, Marquette and other BE teams. If that is the case then there will be no doubt they are legit. I think to expect that is too much. Let alone then beating Duke.

I was referring to our OOC schedule only with reference to being undefeated, to be more clear. Beating Duke is a big feat. I still think if Keita is healthy and playing well, we have a good shot and as talented of a roster as anyone. I don’t expect to beat Duke in Cameron, but we have enough talent to. I won’t put it past our guys.

I think they should be 12-0 and hopefully some of the teams they play actually have better years then expected (VCU for example).

I remember in 2014-15 TCU went 13-0 in their non-conference and got ranked no. 25. Almost everyone was skeptical because of how soft their schedule was. I think Rothstein tweeted out that TCU was a fraud and that they would not even make the NIT. He was right, they proceeded to go 4-14 in the conference and did not even make the NIT.

I think SJU is better than that TCU team mind you. But I can't get excited yet even at 6-0 considering who they have played and how they have played at times. Again I'll take 6-0 of course but lots of work to do.

As I've said many times, I've strongly disliked the OOC schedule since it was first announced, however I noted that could change based on 2 factors:

1. We get at least 11/12 wins (out of 13)
2. The Big East doesn't have a major down year

So far, we are looking good on both fronts. For #1, we are very, very, VERY fortunate to still be undefeated... but we are! We're on pace for at least 11 wins. Even if we lose to GT and Duke, we shouldn't lose to anyone else. Win against GT and things start looking really exciting.

Regarding #2, the Big East is currently #2 for ALL conferences in RPI. Don't be fooled by the top being weak, this is so far a very solid conference top to bottom and should have plenty of opportunities for T1 and T2 wins. Our conference away games in particular should be filled with T1 caliber wins.

No more complaints from me regarding the schedule as long as we keep taking care of business. :)
