Coach Anderson's recruiting article
Yeah it’s pretty funny but Heron has really quietly been very good. Not sure why it seems that way, but I actually think he has a lot of room to get better too. He looked confused under Lavin and as mentioned was injured as well. Hopefully the new system jives even better with his game. He’s definitely gonna be in better shape as well.
Freudian slip? Lavin coaching from the studio? ;) :)
Cain's senior season is one of my all time favorites for any player. However I would not say it was only a matter of opportunity. Whether it was hard work, maturity or coaching that got him to his senior season level, he pretty much squandered almost every opportunity he had before his senior season. It got to a point where he would come into a game and I would start a countdown and almost on queue he'd turn the ball over. The contrasting poise, made his senior season that much more enjoyable.
Carnesecca yanked him every time he made a mistake, It was always apparent that he was a very good distributor and more of a true PG than Buchanan. When he got his chance, he delivered.

Haha. Just noticed that. I meant Mullin. He would have loved Lavin probably. Better coach than Mullin.

Agree that Mustapha has very consistent three year stats. But last year was a bit strange in that, while he averaged 14.6, he had 8 games below 10 and 6 games above 20. He looked great some games and out of sync others. Seems like it was a combination of injuries & chemistry.

Like others have expressed, I see him having a break out year with a new coach and a year under his belt where he is expected to be the leader.
If he's not first team all BE, I will be a bit surprised.

Heron is not injured.
Heron is in super shape.
Heron is not joining a group of p’ayers Where he is looking to fit in.
Heron is not playing with someone who dominated the ball.
Heron is the elder statesman team leader.
Héron will play with a pass first pg.
Heron is one of only two proven scorers on the team.
Heron will be playing in an uptempo offense.
For all of these reasons and more which other more knowledgeable posters can point out Heron should have a great senior season.

He needs a super Season to reach getting drafted in the second round . I hope his handle improved over the summer , being left hand dominant as he is , he seemed to lose the ball a lot going to the hoop . I think he is better playing around the key than getting stuck in the corners . He only goes left from that spot and is easily defended . Plus , he’s a better shot from the elbow than either corner.

Yes Heron has been a very good college basketball player. I think the point is he hasn't exactly played to the level you would expect of the #18 player in the class of 2016 over his first 3 years, just like SirDom didn't play like the 35th player in the class of 2011 over his first three years. Heron has been better over 3 years than Dom was. But Dom's Sr year he was awesome and almost up to his HS ranking. If Heron does the same it would be a special year for him and that obviously would help a team that's going to need all the help it can get.
