Clark
Has not played a good game in a month. Glad he is going and I hope he goes with Mullin.
Great guy, comes up small in big spots. But not sure it warranted a new thread to insult him.

I will miss Clark's offense but he is a terrible rebounder and defender. They just have hit 5 threes on his late rotations tonight. It's very tough to win with a player like that.

It's not Clark's fault we fell apart. In order to be competitive in the Big East we needed Clark, Simon, LJ, Ponds, and Heron to play 40 minutes of A ball every game. That is impossible to do for a full season.

I also don't blame Williams, Roberts, ME, or even SK for it either. We just burn and churn players and haven't had a balanced roster in 15 years.

Offense ? Check out his stats. When you don’t score u rebound play defense do something. Izzo did not want him.

Nothing to do with Izzo wanting him or not. Tom Izzo in his sleep can replace a Marvin Clark. If a player wants to leave there he has a stud waiting in the wings.

Thank you!!! Marvin has done all he's been asked and more for this program. It's not his fault we're such a flawed roster.

As I have said before, Clark is a natural 4 man who was asked to play the 5 position
Clark was clearly outmatched physically in almost every game
That's why he was always in foul trouble
If he had played the power forward spot, he would have been much more productive
Regardless, he always gave it his all and represented us with class on and off the court
Thanks for coming to St John's, Marvin
Wishing you the best of luck in all your future endeavors

He's not even a natural 4. He's a 2/3 cursed with a college 4's body. Ordinarily not a curse, but it was when you are on an undersized team and they need/hope/expect you to play like a 5. He wasn't even a big rebounder in high school, so it was unfair to expect it as a college player. I thought he could give us 7.5, but wasn't in the cards and unfair for me to expect. He'll leave with a degree, a great attitude, and will play somewhere in the world before having to get a "real" job. Would love for it to be Europe, but even if it's Japan or China, he gets to explore the world while he's young and maybe bank enough cash to have a mortgage-free house somewhere. Plus the women are hot.

Classy post.

Not my problem ..hustle playing defense and grabbing a few rebounds is that too much to ask. 20 years of poor play is a lot More for us loyal fans

thought we'd get more from him this year. early season looked promising. Not sure watching him today if this is a planned play or not, but he attempts a high pick and roll but never actually picks...ever! Silly fouls for most of season, under achiever in rebounds and suspect defender. Expect more from a 24 year old player. He did represent the university well and seemed to be a leader off the court, but didn't translate on the court. 20 wins but a reflection of this team. Underachieved

There is a whole list of problems right now. Clark isn't on the list.

Agree. He always plays hard. He is forced to play out of position and does not always use good judgment when it comes to fouls, but seems to give his all.

Just an average playerj where we needed a above average forward with consistency in scoring and rebounding and quicker on the defensive end
Wish him well

Great kid who did our school proud; unfortunately had a shooting slump towards the end of the season that I'm sure is killing him more than it's killing us.
May have a couple of big threes left in him for Wednesday night against Depaul, who knows?

Agree. I see him rebounding the defensive boards when the opposition falls back, however he is weak when he has to fight for position. Doesn't box out well.
