Chris Obekpa Suspended

What's the over/under on Bobre showing up and ripping the decision to suspend him without knowing any details whatsoever?

Per Zags, Obekpa suspended for exhibition games and absent for tonight's madness....

What would a St. John's season be without a few bumps in the road? Smh

I was thinking the same thing, Amase. Things can't ever go smoothly, huh?

This is why most are considering us to finish middle of the pack in the Big East. We are generally considered a talented group, but also an unstable one.

That being said, he is not missing any games that are going to count, so I don't think we should be too worried, and this is coming from someone who generally overreacts to this stuff.

We were due for bad news. If something bad doesnt happen once a month with the program it wouldnt be the same.

Better to get it over with now. Hopefully this is the end of it.

On the plus side glad to see they're taking the big time school approach rather than suspending him for real games. ;)

He is literally the last kid I would have suspected to get suspended. This smells like academics to me. Whatever it is, I hope he works through it and comes back better off.

Please let's not get carried away with this! It happens at every school in every sport.

Let us hope this is the last time we have any bad news this season. If this turns out to be the worst thing then we will do fine

This year can be really special but Lavin wants everyone to buy in and be on their best behavior at all times.

Even if this is not a major deal, it would be nice to have just one build up to a season without any distractions and nothing but positive momentum. This does happen at other schools.

No matter what is said between now and 2 Fridays from now, I will feel comfortable when CO checks into the Wisconsin game. Unfortunately these things haven't typically gone as initially reported for us the last 3 years. Hope that's not the case here.

Being a student now and going by what the school/Lavin is saying about this, I would have to guess that it has something to do with Student Life like alcohol or some sort of probation.

Who is literally the next to last kid you suspect will be suspended?
