CBI or whatever post season?

Unfortunately, barring any good run in the BE tourny, they will not make the CBI tourny.

Then what about the other loser tourney, wasn't it the CIT?

I say NCAAs or NIT. There are no other March tourneys a BE team should be in.

let the players vote whether or not to continue the season.

If the players vote to continue the season then please explain why you would deny them that opportunity.

In my mind these 6 players are special young men who have earned our respect.

Let the players determine whether to continue the season.

IMO, I think that is the best route to go, Otis. Barring winning the Big East Tournament, then I'd be all for putting away the basketballs. But, I probably would ask the players and see what they think. If this was a junior or senior laden (or, even a sophomore laden) squad, then I wouldn't even inquire with the players, and just end the season.

Considering, this is a freshmen laden squad, then I'd give them the choice of playing in the CBI. Actually, I have a feeling the Big East Tournament will be the last time our group plays this season.

Agree completely with both posts.

We have a very short bench, and every single game they play can be lost due to fouls, whether it be against BE competition or CBI caliber opponents. These guys got nearly twice as many minutes as most freshmen who see floor time this season, and all had a shot at leading roles instead of being supporting cast.

It's time to put the balls away, focusing on schoolwork, and looking forward to next season.

This is a moot point, the CBI isn't taking any team that is 13-19. They've invited teams a game or 2 below .500, but not 6. And the CIT is unofficially reserved for mid-majors.

Plenty to accomplish this offseason. Next week is the beginning of the "contact" period, so coach can begin talking to players and their parents again. I suspect the dominoes will start falling shortly after that.
