Amir Garretts "almost school" if I recall correctly.

I have a question which you may have an answer>?

Why would Mullin fire Slice since he was the only staff member with solid coaching experience having coached both offense and coached defense to big centers plus knew how to coach a Zone??

Usguard, they had irreconcilable differences just like in a marriage and could no longer work together. Accept it and move on. For better or worse, and for the record I am not happy that he is no longer part of the staff, it is time we move on from Slice just like I suggest to everyone to move on from Norm and Lavin, they are all gone.
Now back to whether RF can shoot, will Zach Brown qualify, has Sima regressed, can Yakwe develop an offensive game, will Ellison be here next season, will AA be here next season, who is the staff still recruiting for 2017, can Darien contribute at all, is St. Jean over his head, will Mullin bring in a seasoned assistant coach to help, will the new AD be a positive influence, will we play any zone, will there be a good fifth year transfer available in May that can help up front?
Anything I am missing ?

Will Owens gain any weight and muscle mass? What is St. John's feeding kids in Mongoris Dining Hall? Will St. John's assign a super senior to teach Owens, Sima and Freudenberg proper dining for growing boys?

Will Mullin's substitution system improve?

Not harping on this but just for the record I feel we would have been better if Slice was still hear.Just an opinion

jesus I literally just got home from New Orleans and you just got me depressed :)

last time we played at Carnesseca, it was, as trump would say, a disaster.

Hope they come out playing inspired ball. Want to see better defense and also less reliance on the 3 ball

As great as the shooting and ball movement was, the main difference Friday night was the energy from both players and staff. Fully engaged start to finish. Think most can accept this season will be filled with ups and downs as part of a rebuild, but that type of energy should be there almost if not every time out in wins and losses. Hope to see same again tonight as doing it consistently, not just after an embarrassing loss on your home court, is key.

Do credit team for Friday though. They made it look easy but that was not an easy spot entering the game, young team on the road having lost 5 in a row. That was an emphatic response. Tulane took a number of cracks at getting back in that game too, especially late first and early second half, and we countered every single time. Staff clearly had defined gameplan and players were committed to executing. Impressive.

On continued positive front, quarter of way through the season and our 4 leading minute getters at 1-3 are shooting 49%, 44%, 44%, and 40% from 3. Even with still relatively small sample, to my knowledge Lovett, Ponds, and Ahmed were billed as capable but not this level of shooters. And while it was anticipated Mussini was knockdown, improvement this year is notable even if other areas have been drawbacks to date. Would imagine Mullin/Richmond may have big role in this. Especially given how effective the first 3 would be anyway even if shooting just moderately, the sharpshooting has taken their games to another level on expedited track. This type of player development is terrific for program on a number of fronts.
