@Butler, Wed. Feb. 15, 8:30pm, FS1/570AM

Yesterday's game was the first of 3 games in 10 days. Kids have to be encouraged to take care of their bodies and rest. Parties can wait until April. This, too, is a part of coaching.

Johnny, these guys are in college. Are you serious? It is the only logical reason to go to college.

Not saying we should win this one, but it is more then a could win
out of teh 3 away games I think this might be our best chance of stealing one

I think Marquette is our best chance of the road games win and as per home game we should beat Providence

3-2?

if we went 3-2 then this season would be beyond my exactions at the beginning of the season because I thought 15 wins would be reasonable and at 3-2 that would put us at 15 but I had more wins on the easier part of the schedule and less in big east play so if we got to 15 we would be doing it with better wins overall.

That would be fantastic

Not sure if any of you are attending Wednesday's game here in Indianapolis but I will be at Hinkle Fieldhouse for the game (and I work downtown so I'll available to give dining suggestions, grab a beer pre-game, etc.), please don't hesitate to PM me and I'll be happy to buy a fellow fan a drink or help you check out the city. Go Johnnies.

Sec 9 you are right it could be.that one also. When I looked at Marquette's schedule I was thinking that they might see our game as their best chance of a win the rest of the season so I thought that one might be slightly tougher

Least winnable to most winnable games the rest of the way in my view:

1. Creighton
2. Butler
3. Marquette
4. GTown
5. Providence

All are winnable but don't feel great about any either. Creighton just a bad matchup with their size and in that building. Really like Butler and Marquette matchups for us but tough spot having already beaten both teams and now getting them away. Tough enough to secure sweeps in this conference, tougher when the second leg is on the road. Don't like GTown matchup and they seem to have given us trouble in generally recently, but at home and maybe we are due. Providence seems like one of our more even matchups on paper, they continue to play tough almost every time out.

Would be very happy with 2-3, as I think 1-4 might be slightly more probable than 3-2 although I think both are possible.

MJ, had us winning more games early and less games later in the season, that is what makes some of those early losses so frustrating.

Butler has a tough building to win in.

3-2 would be marvelous, and make me feel real good about this team and this turnaround of a season.

Looking at how Syracuse has played tough teams lately beating many of them (at home) I am still amazed at our total smack down on their court around the same time we were losing to LIUs of the world.

Agree completely. I'll be ecstatic with 3-2 heck I'd be happy with 2-3. Just as I could see how those 2 scenarios could happen the glass half empty in me could see 0-5.

Really no locks in any of these last 5 games

All good analyses above
I lean toward the optimistic side
Nevertheless
I'd take a mere 1-2 Ws and run w it
Because IMO - even w only another victory or two - we've already had a successful season of PROGRESS

thanks &
all the best
:)

Agree but they are really all winnable lol

I don't think Creighton is a bad matchup for us. They out-hustled and out-executed us even when they were blowing us out (maturity and chemisty - see the intuitive passing that made us look silly). Matchup-wise it is one of the better ones especially without Watson. IMHO G'town and SHU (and of course Xavier) are actually worse matchups for us but we've seen what this team can do when they hustle and execute for 40 minutes - Butler game, second SHU game.

I think we have better chance winning the Creighton game than this one. Mostly because of the revenge factor Butler is gonna have against us, and also CU shorthanded

Not overly optimistic about tomorrow night's game, all the rest more so.

Maybe we have the revenge factor in the Creighton game.

I'd love to sweep the Friars given our recent history with them.

Wish you could schedule DeP three games instead of two. They can't seem to ever turn it around, and I think they are moving into a nice new building downtown Chicago soon, poor Blue Demons, fellow Vincentian school.

So here is my prediction; Ws over Creighton, G Town (hate them) and Providence (close) for my 3-2.

Ls Butler and Marquette.

Hinkle has some home cooking going on but we've won there before. I hate that Butler is coming off a loss but I still think we win. I say that knowing full well that my picks have tended to go the other way wins or losse such as picking loss at home vs But
