And he's only 55.
I question the fire in his belly, and his commitment to the full time work needed for this job.

According to reports at the time of his hire, Butler practically begged for him to take the job, and his doubts were not financial in nature, nor did he question the administration's commitment to the program. He just didn't know if he wanted to do this again.

Scary, if you're a Butler fan, IMO.

Not sure if it works to the advantage to Butler or not, but they stayed in the NY area the whole time of the 5 day Seton Hall-SJU trip. They practiced at the Nets practice facility on Sunday `morning, then SJU last night. They will be rested with no traveling back and forth to Indy/NY but many times it does work against the hotel ridden team.
SJU should handle this weak Butler squad.

Fun fact: Tyler Watson, Butler's strength and conditioning coach, was St. John's last year in the same role.

ok... i've talked myself into it... SPIN ZONE!

Did we schedule poorly... YES... but now... this team has seen what Good Competition is... and were VERY CLOSE to pulling out a victory AT #19 Providence (who hasn't lost at the DUNK/AMP in 10 years (i think lol))... they will be galvanized by that performance and will trigger the TURN-Arounds of turn-arounds!

We have 6 Losses - 4 of which are to TOP 25 Teams! (#12 / 14 / 19 / 25) .... the other 2- @Nova (cmon... we never win there) and at Seton Hall (they rudely moved us away from Walsh this yr cause they know we love high school gyms)

Double digit win vs Butler incoming! Getting this season right back on the rails!

(the comedown is going to be brutal if we lose lol)
