That whole situation doesn't add up to me.
Why does Holtmann leave Gardner-Webb after going 21-13 with talent returning to take an assistant coaching position unless he was promised more?

Why does Miller walk away from a tournament team knowing he's handing it off to a promising coach that just won 21 games with Gardner-Webb?

Nobody has seen him in months. There are some wild rumors out there.

Miller was an assistant on the Ohio State team that was ranked #1 overall going in to the 2011 NCAA tournament. He left the game after that year, due to stress. I'm guessing (and it is only a guess) that something similar caused him to leave this time.
 
Apparently there's "news" coming soon regarding RJ. That can't be good.

My guess would be suspension or ineligibility. That's just a total guess and not backed with any info. Don't see him transferring as he wants to go league after next semester. Maybe he just got his grades from the fall semester and he's ineligible.

ineligible would not surprise me in the least. Didn't he miss some time in one of the exhibitions due to school work?

After a jolt like team just received, they often come to play with increased intensity. I expect that today and will root my tail off in person for a great group of kids. Go Johnnies!
 
I feel like Butler is a good match up for us. They play great d but don't score a lot. They also don't penetrate off the bounce enough. Roosevelt Jones does not need to be guarded from deep.
Harrison and Jordan can really take Dunham out of the game in a man-to-man d, with the other keeping tabs on Jones.

This is a game I would start Jordan. He needs a boost, we need his d, and his natural ability could lead to easy baskets and foul shots against a very tough defense that will be tough to crack otherwise.

Agree. After watching Butler's last game we need to play man defense, especially since Barlow and Dunham can bomb 3's. Time for Lavin to give some subs playing time.
 
There will be a point in a season where subs will get the opportunity to show what they have if playing big minutes. Well here's that opportunity.

Who wants it? Who is hungry enough to take this opportunity and shine?
