BT said he thought the Redmen were a fun team. With no other local basketball options to speak of, he suggested checking them out. He said he felt they were a tournament team right now, and that they would be in the tournament.

BT said he had a relationship with Coach, and that Coach wants an extension. BT said Coach makes a lot of money and needs to deliver some results in order for that to happen. Said Coach has shown a lot of character by disciplining players on his own, despite coaching for his future with the school.

Felt that is was difficult to recruit players to Jamaica.

He thinks Dom is worthy of a late first round pick, and Phil Jackson should take notice.

Thinks UK will enter the tournament undefeated, Gonzaga is their biggest threat. Felt any other team would really need things to break their way in a game against UK (Wisconsin, Virginia, Duke - said Duke was not a classic Duke-caliber team).

Spocky, I listened to the whole interview, and I say you got it spot on.

The one thing I found interesting is how little Joe B. knows about our program. He was asking BT questions about Kentucky and the NCAA Tournament in general. And when BT was praising Dom, Joe admitted that he hadn't seen him play much. I wish Evan Roberts was there. I think he's a bigger fan than Joe B. is.

I like Beningo but he seems more like a fan than a polished talk show pro and there is nothing the matter with that IMO. Expertise though he seems to be strictly pro sports, especially local teams.

Joe has mentioned St. JOHNS in the past and always with a positive tone,but as you say he is more a pro guy especially if it is not football.

someone else went to St. John's and loves Boeheim and Calhoun and Coach Cal....
