I often times don’t agree with Zach’s bball takes or insights but very much appreciate his sju coverage.

It’s a content company so they love that type of thing. But he was suspended if I remember correctly. The guy is not right in the head!

Rico's take on St. John's is awful. I'll take Zach over him anytime. BTW Roger Rubin at Newsday does a terrific job covering us.

BTW in that press conference, Rick was not affronted at all with the verbal slip up, joked and giggled about it himself. There was no intent and Rick knew it.

This idiot Rico completely exaggerated and distorted that whole thing about Rick's brother.

His whole "persona" is based on the fact that he's an emotional infant and flies off the handle in a split second. The beef between Zach and Rico stems back to a joke Zach made about Staten Island or something along those lines that sent Rico off the deep end. It's that simple and stupid.

Rico has been a punching bag at Barstool with coworkers trying to piss him off to easily create content. He is incredibly mentally unstable.

Were they talking about Staten Island basketball talent? Because I can name maybe four kids in all my years of following hoops, and I'm not even sure if all four were SI natives, some may have just played there.

Well, that article mentioning Martin brings me up to five guys, then I remembered a couple more, so seven decent kids I knew of in all my years of following the sport. So yeah, compared to other boroughs it's definitely a wasteland and the Bosco guy is a total douche.

He’s also playing up the character for a content company. That’s his schtick. Rico Bosco is not even his real name, and he was (still is?) a firefighter for the FDNY.

Frank the Tank of Barstool plays up his anger and anxiety too. Portnoy encourages the office drama.

I’m admittedly not a regular consumer of their content (don’t dislike what I have seen or anything just not in my regular rotation of stuff) but I’ve always gotten the sense that Barstool is a few years away from an expose’ and lawsuits revealing a pretty unprofessionally run workplace. Not spreading rumors or saying I know anything for sure just making an irresponsible guess based off vibes and prior experiences with creative type companies who have younger CEO’s/owners/personalities that quickly achieve success while projecting a “laid back” work environment.

I agree. I'd love to see their contracts...there has to be something in there about the reality show/comedy aspect or else they would be destroyed with suit after suit.
