Brady Dunlap out 4-6 weeks

Brady Dunlap to Miss 4-6 Weeks with Hand Injury

Red Storm sophomore swingman to undergo surgery on Thursday

QUEENS, N.Y. (Dec. 18, 2024) –
St. John’s sophomore swingman Brady Dunlap will miss 4-6 weeks due to an injury to his left hand and will undergo surgery on Thursday. Dunlap suffered a tear to his ulnar collateral ligament (UCL), as announced by Red Storm Head Coach Rick Pitino.

Hope he recovers.

Not clear to me if hand issue is lingering or new..

Coming out of Bahamas he had the hip issue and received shot for that. There was no mention of hand until now.

if lingering and he & staff knew, it doesn't help playing. If he knew and kept to himself and knew it affects performance that's not helping team either.

Can be confusing to hear ucl injury as this is Tommy John surgery in the elbow. Also a ucl by the thumb. Known as skiers or gamekeeper injury.

Success rates are high so heal up and come back this year!!

Had this injury 2-3 years ago. It is painful and makes gripping anything next to impossible. PT can help but surgery and rehab is the best long term solution. Hope Brady gets on the mend ASAP
How did you suffer your injury? Glad your well now.
