You are, after all, the same poster, that had no problem posting a half-dozen times in the "Tournament or New Coach" thread, speculating about who would replace Lavin. There was no "How about we finish the season first" or "How about we actually fire Lavin before we worry abot who takes over." You are the same poster that said this team was "hard to root for' and "the same team we've seen for four years." No problems there. No problem saying "It's early, but Creigton looks better than last year."
But let's slam the breaks on anything positive about St. John's. Let's not put the cart before the horse there!!!!
No, what I am actually trying to say is any speculation on our seed or who we are playing is as silly as any one of your posts. Speculate all you want but for someone who PRETENDS to know ball, we have accomplished nothing yet. That does not mean I am not enjoying the way this team seems to be coming together but I refuse to get over the top giddy like you did last year because thay have had a good stretch. Does this team look like they might be the real deal? Yes. Did they play lights out great in the 2nd half against Fordham, absolutely and I posted as such. Did they go through a very nice stretch last year and then fold? Yes, so as any coach, player, scorekeeper or ballboy or knowledgable fan knows, it is a long season so don't get ahead of yourself. Criticism of me coming from Mase gives me pause and makes me re-think my post, from you, it is just so another meaningless reaction from someone who is convinced our bench past the sixth man is contributing in a meaningful way to a top 20 ranked team.
Very fair Logen and I understand your point. It did come across that way but as you said, some people find it meaningless to discuss that kind of stuff on Dec. 15th while others have fun discussing it. Seems harmless to me and nice to see after so many years of not being able to even think about it. I certainly get your point as well, though.

Xavier - 12 (play in game)
If we got 6 bids in a ten-team league that would be an outstanding accomplishment.
Before all of the reallignment, in the 80s and 90s when it was a Basketball Centered conference the league topped out at 7 in 1991.
