This event is always great fun and this year should be one of the best ever since it will feature Mullin, Coach Carnesecca, Coach Lavin, Coach Keady, Coach Kim and Hubie Brown.

 

Hubie Brown is a pleasure to listen to. He is one of the best basketball speakers you will ever see and he also a great guy.

The man has forgotten more about basketball then most people know.

Actually I thought he was great with the in-studio interview of Lavin last season.

 I was listening to Francesa recently, when there was a technical problem at the studio. Francesa thinking he was off the air, blew the poor producer or whoever it was, up! He sounded very annoyed, and to be honest, I can't blame him 100%, but he really came across as a bit of a jerk.

Carton is pure entertainment, and really not a sports genius. He is there to be an annoying foil to Boomer, who plays the straight, smart guy. Who cares really. He has no particular expertise, and is more of a Mad Dog Russo type.

Disagree. For all his shortcomings -- and he has plenty -- Mad Dog has never been vulgar. Good or bad, he's always been all about sports. I don't recall him ever asking a female callers their her bra size, if they were "hot," or if they were a virgin, etc. Mad Dog, like him or not, has never played the role of a so-called shock jock. As for Carton ...
