He says he did retire, he actually talked to AD on Friday and agreed this was going to be his last year.

He did not have enough time after loss to Wake to talk to SU President and that is why the press conference was cryptic.

Also why the official statement by the school did not have him quoted in it.

Says he plans on having a job at Syracuse.

Glad he went. Presumably he is pissed and they just had a day to create the official cover story. But I assume he actually likes Autry -- he's the one who hired him and kept him on all these years -- so be the bigger person and remain focused on who your anger should be directed toward.
