Bob McKillop

It's never too late to come home. For 2 million a year he can have a nice place in Queens or Long Island and a vacation home in North Carolina. I would sign up for that gig.

Far more likely that he'd try his hand at politics in NC before coming to SJU to coach. I don't think many posters realize just how hard and how long it takes to turn a team into a program. He's got a well oiled machine and comfortable gig at Davidson...I know I wouldn't leave if I were him.

Apparently the posters on this site don't believe that. They think you should have instant success.
Building a program is something else. St. John's had a "program" when Looie left but it has been a series of missteps since. Lavin is trying to restore that but it takes time.

as a StJ alum/fan and Davidson resident & season ticket holder. they were picked 12 of 14 preseason. at this stage I doubt he would consider another job but you never know. Lives next door to campus, walks to work and grooming his son. His teams are always hard nosed and physical they are great to watch even in a loss they are relentless. live by the 3 and die by the 3 they can all shoot.

He and I are the same age so I doubt he is looking to move at this stage unlike Larry Brown. Most people don't realize how small a school Davidson is and how academically challenging it is so his record there is deceiving. When he was 50 he would have made the move but too late. Just curious but how much are those season tickets down there?
