Wisconsin Coach has 674 Wins in his total Coaching Career. 291 wins, 113 losses in Big 10, .720 winning percentage.

He's earned his status as a elite Coach.. It will be interesting to see the Coaching matchups on Friday as well as, the player matchups.

agreed. and when we win this game, I hope you enjoy the season a little more.

I will absolutely enjoy a win over Wisconsin and Bo Ryan as it will establish this year's team as a force to be reckoned with..I also think it's a signature win for Lavin in the last 2 years, to beat a preseason top 25 team on a neutral court.

This game better not come down to coaching, because we will lose.

We matchup very favorably. Their 7 footer is not going to push us around. IMHO Brust is the guy that could kills us if we can't defend him.

Does Lavin go three guards, or start Dom with Sampson and Sanchez up front. I'm guessing CO will come off bench

Oh the irony of SJU getting beat by a guy named Brust...

I think with the way Dom played in the exhibitions VS how Jamal played in the exhibitions, Dom should start. The only reason to go three guard is if you wanna push the ball, but dom can do that better than Jamal because Branch is so damn slow

I don't get all this branch is so slow talk. And besides that the way to move the ball up the court is with the pass, that's how branch does it best.

When he's leading the fast break, and we have numbers, he is the most methodical player I've ever seen. He jogs up the court with the ball and then instead of kicking it out or passing he tries to drive and loses the ball. This happened on three separate occasions against Humbolt St and is probably why he didn't see a lot of time.

Lavin was quoted as saying he had a great trip to Europe and if you watch the videos of the games he looked great . But I agree he didnt show much in either of the exb games

Wis will go 3 guard. They also classify their 7 footer as a forward so I'd think that speed/quickness will be a priority:

If Dom starts it's not a disadvantage when it comes to running the floor, in fact, probably an advantage

I'm agreeing with you. Dom is both faster up and down the court and quicker man to man. I'm most interested to see if anyone can effectively d 6'1 Brust.

I think you put Rysheed on Brust. Rysheed is big, and extremely quick laterally. Hard to beat Rysheed off the dribble. Its only been 2 games, but hes been solid as a rock early. That said, Wisconsin really doesn't try to beat you off the dribble. They best you by reversing the ball about 10 times with the pass to create an option or mismatch. We can't overplay on defense, or it opens things up for them. IMO, man defense likely not the way to go most of the game vs Wisconsin. I think we have to mix defensive looks. Confusing them and taking away their passing lanes is the best way to disrupt them as well as pressuring them when they bring the ball up court.
