are the 2 transfers he is referring to: Omari Lawrence & Quincy Roberts? My timeline is a little out of whack.

Polee and Nurideen
Lavin, who is cancer free and ready to resume coaching after taking most of last season off from the sideline, said he has signed 18 players in 28 months on the job. The Red Storm lost two players to transfers and one to the NBA draft and two players didn't qualify during Lavin's two years.
I am assuming the two players who didn't qualify are Pelle and Wood.
Also when he is saying all eight newcomers will be eligible in the fall: "Steve Lavin said he expects all eight newcomers will be eligible in the fall." Does this refer to Hooper who will not be able to play until 2013 and Branch who will miss November and part of December?

If he counts Sampson as one of the two who didn't qualify and Wood does not count, then I can only come up with seventeen players that he signed. Who am I missing?
1)Polee 2)Harkless 3) Harrison 4)Pointer 5) Lindsay 6) Pelle 7)Garrett 8)Greene 9) Achiuwa 10)Sampson 11)Branch
12) Balamou 13) Bourgault 14)Sanchez 15) Hooper 16) Obekpa 17) Jones
Please refresh my memory; where did "all world" Nurideen Lindsay end up?
Thanks.

Just a guess but I'd count Sampson twice. While him and Amir were both free agents so to speak Amir came within the year and there never seemed to be wavering . Karr on the other hand we had to totally re-recruit. Wood verballed twice but never signed anything so in terms of STJ admin he has never been a Johnny.

One of the more frustrating periods on these boards when everyone was talking about that kid like he was one-and-done for the NBA.
Hopefuly that will keep some posters grounded going forward.
How much does it have to hurt Nuri to have the man he clashed with, Coach Dunlap, hired as an NBA coach?! Hahahaha
