Seriously, what's the deal with wearing these so much?

I enjoy the blue uniforms as an alternate, but, have we even worn white uniforms this season? I like the white home uniforms and our red uniforms are the best.

I even liked the blacks better than the blue because we are the only team in the big east that doesn't have blue as a primary or secondary color.

I just don't understand the push to wear these so much.
 
I agree but something tells me as long as they keep winning we will keep seeing them. Lavin has been known to be a bit superstitious. Remember Louie wouldn't change his sweater until a 2nd loss.
 
+1 on the Blue Uniforms.
Anyone know when we will ever see the NYC skyline unis?
And if any of this stuff will be available?
Most of this stuff is no where to be found.
UA site has nothing.
Also, that batman / gotham warm up shirt they wore at syracuse was really nice.

I'd complain about them if we were 1-7 or 7-1. It isn't a question of how good things are going. I just hate how we are changing one of the things that set us apart from the big "blue" east.

Blue is a good alternate uniform if we are playing a team that also has red and white uniforms, but I just don't see the need for them in literally every home game,
 
I remember seeing something recently that said this is their out of conference uniform, when they go back to Big East play I believe it goes back to red and white. I could be wrong but I beleive that is the answer.

A forum for people to complain if they want.

Can't say I agree with this complaint but come on. We can't all just sit here and sing kumbaya.
 
I actually don't mind the Navy. I like them better than the depaul-blue, or the black, or the grey uniforms.

I have a st johns baseball hat from back in the day and it's navy and blue. these exact colors.
this didn't come out of nowhere.
 
I'm loving the 7-1 start and the way our team stepped up in a tight game at Syracuse, but it doesn't mean I stop caring about the other stuff.

I admit it: I'm a gear nut and uni-phile. I'm hoping UA will improve our look on the court and in the stands at some point.

It's a petty annoyance, but it makes me nuts that we have no consistency in how St. John's is presented. Take a look at the cover of the St. John's basketball preview: one cover and three different treatments of St. John's on the men's uni, women's uni and headline style.

C'mon, we're in the marketing capital of the universe working with one of the fastest growing sports brands in the world right now. Surely we can do better!
 
I like the navy blue also. I just prefer our whites as our home uniforms, and I don't know if we've even worn them this year.

I guess we are waiting for conference play, if so, so be it. It is fine.
 
i wasnt trying to be negative.....BUT the uniforms and the gear available from the 1998-2001 time period when Jordan was the sponsor were the best St Johns Uniforms ever. I still have the red game shorts...they are beautiful.

the Nike stuff wasnt bad either. Overall Nike does a good job with the design of their stuff so while its a step down from Jordan the gear was still good.

I just think the underarmour is like second rate stuff and the design of the uniforms looks funny to me. The sweat shirt Francesa wore on the air with the "718" on it was cool though - i would like to get my hands on that

That 718 hoodie and the identical long sleeve warm up last year are beauties. Lots of folks noticed/mentioned them. I'm hoping that will be available one of these years.
 
I like them. Non traditiional blue with the traditional lettering. Beats the Black uniforms. However Black uni's with this lettering would look pretty sweet.
