Forget the uniforms WE need rebounding and some wt down low Marco was suppose to be a shooter could be wrong but I haven't seen him attemp a shot Doesn't seem like he can create Defense is terrible giving up almost 100 pts Can't wait for Sanchez They took us apart underneath We looked like a high school rebounding We could not
guard A 6-1 shooter If not for Harrisson being hot we lose by 35 Did not like the game plan our blocking out and our picks were basically non existent Obekpa was a non factor From our performance can see why some picked us last in the conference Hope they wake up coaches too
 
Offense and uniforms were not a problem (although we have what one possibly two wins wearing them?). Lack of Defense (identify the shooter and stay out on him) and rebounding (ball goes up, put your body on a man and box out) were. Its still early and the team is and will be a work in progress even when Sanchez and Branch are incorporated into the rotation.
 
I agree guard, why were we so hot on getting marco down to Charleston, I think he attempted 1 shot.

Yea we should have left him home. Lets keep the walkons home too. Why waste the money to fly them down there. Not like they are part of a team or anything.
 
wow, tough on everyone here guys...even the walk ons? haha. The game was close until the last 5-6 mins. we could of had that game. Simply got killed on the boards, but we will do better. Baylor is a legit team guys with some of the BEST big men in the NCAA. lets not forget that. I agree that Marco was not effective, but its his first game too fellas. He will get into a groove ( i hope ). He looked slow to the ball, that needs to be worked on. Dangelo has been an offensive fireball, Greene too. We need to regroup and establish the inside easy baskets.
 
i personally wanted to see both D'lo and Marco on the floor at the same time, especially at the end of the Baylor game when we needed some threes. I would've gone with D'lo, Phil, Marco, Karr and Amir or Dom...Small lineup, but shoot it didn't matter anyway in terms of rebounding. It would've been nice to have Marco shooting the threes the last 5 minutes cuz Walton totally took away D'los 3 point shots....idk, just what I would've tried...the team will be fine come big east time, so I'm not worried.

To clarify- my walkon comment was sarcastic response to them saying why fly Marco down if hes not gonna shoot more.

Guess the point was he is suppose to be a great shooter coach should have made sure someone got him the ball Do not have a problem of them getting him down to the game not taking a shot yes

Make an alternate that doesn't say St. John's and says "Johnnies" instead. Gray jersey with red letters and white outline.

Uniforms were changed less than 5 years ago. How many times you want to change uniforms?

Don't see how we don't own that trademark. I think some DIII school or something has it, but oh well. Look at Baylor, NC State, Maryland, etc. lots of teams experiment with other cool and fresh looking jerseys. It doesn't have to be a permanent thing...I just mean for a few games. Or what about specialty jerseys for holidays or anniversaries? There are no throwbacks, no new concepts, no nothing. I still feel like the NYC skyline can be brought in somehow like they were with the baseball team. It means more than you would think to the players to get cool jerseys...the first thing they do is tweet pictures of them bragging about it. This is the Lavin era...we should be doing different things not more of the same.

This is the "Saint John's" team that owns the trademark. That "Johnnies" jersey would look awesome. Too bad. Looks like we fell asleep at the wheel with that trademark just like we did letting SJU get taken by St. Joe's.

You have lots of grand ideas. You should work for an ad agency :) All they do is propose big ideas and not weigh the consequences haha

Also remember our players can't tweet during the regular season ;)

Here is the skyline on the baseball jerseys like I mentioned. Notice how happy the player is that we got a cool concept jersey for once :)

maybe they told him to smile for the pic....otoh, the guys in your first link dont look happy with their concept uniforms...do you really think that it really matters that much to them?? they mustve been stoked when burger king came out with that chicken parm sandwich
