Oh wellSo I'll say what I can here. Like I mentioned I know this kid well and my guess is he will neither be at Wash or here next season. When more becomes public I'll elaborate where I can. I might have wrong info but I dont think so

In theory right now I think we can safely say the starts areIf he is that good would be first big off bench and probably 7th man, no?
Agree with you Dave. UNLESS parents/handlers value Rick's player development enough to forego heavy first year PT. Prob not happening but jeez really amazing it is even a possibility. Also greases the skids for potential portal next year as others have mentioned. In theory right now I think we can safely say the starts are
Jackson, Sellers, Sanon, Hopkins, Ejiofor. With Mitchell first off the bench with Darling. This kid hypothetically even in that role would have to take a backseat. I just think there's a level of ego and self belief that comes with being a top 25 kid in the country that was chased by blue bloods to accept that
Of course, thxIn theory right now I think we can safely say the starts are

Your second paragraph says exactly what I thought since I heard his name and looked him up.Embarrassment of riches regarding this name that's being rumored...doesn't make basketball sense to me. Doesn't make sense from a roster construction perspective, nor does it if I'm that kid, right now.
4 star, high end, uber talented kid who obviously wants to play. He'd come here and play behind Hopkins, Mitchell and be battle Prey for minutes? Seems like a hard sell. He's very very very good...but in this era, where a player like this also costs a lot, is that the wise use of (significant) funds?
Plus don't forget the level of poaching that's done in the sport, first time he only gets 8 mins in a game, he'll get phone calls offering him bigger roles and telling him he's being misused and underused all that kind of stuff.
The positive is come in an be apart of a national championship contending roster under Rick Pitino in New York...of course very appealing, but he's a top end blue chip type talent, not sure that's a role or sacrifice he's willing it make.
As of this moment, I find it a little hard to envision coming to fruition.
Seeing this kid... i honestly thought it was that... His parents and team seeing him as a 2/3yr project to get to the League. Who best to get him there- what roster will challenge him in Practice etc... take a paycut now for the NBA contract later.Agree with you Dave. UNLESS parents/handlers value Rick's player development enough to forego heavy first year PT. Prob not happening but jeez really amazing it is even a possibility. Also greases the skids for potential portal next year as others have mentioned.
He's an NBA prospect. I spoke to the trainer who trains him since 8th grade (Hopkins and Sanon took that pic together) and raved about how hard of a worker he is, how dedicated to getting better and stronger he is. Couldn't gush about him more.Any other year he would be the marquee get. Easy for people to sleep on him because he was first get of a huge haul!
I really like the high school senior from NJ. And the IceMan. I know I’m repeating myself. Sorry.Have been told over the last few hours, from multiple sources the four star player in question, isn't happening, for multiple reasons.
There will be good news regarding the roster filling up in the coming days, with at least one of the open spots being a big.
Thanks Dave. Same guy who trained Kolek if I’m not mistaken? He's an NBA prospect. damn i thought y2 was pretty reliable. Will never get the hour of Bundalo highlights I just watched back. Sad!Have been told over the last few hours, from multiple sources the four star player in question, isn't happening, for multiple reasons.

We are going to toy with a lot of teams and let games get to 2 overtime’s then put them away just so our guys can get enough minutesIt's usually 7 players that get meaningful minutes, sometimes 8. We could use another big, but it's hard to see any 4 star freshman committing here right now. I'd like to thing the staff is doing legwork for the following season.
