Big East Tournament Seed Watch 2/23/16

Thanks for this.

I'm actually really excited for the Big East Tournament. Hopefully we can win a game and give Xavier another close contest and who knows what could happen.

hmm while I like the potential Xavier matchup, the first game potentially against Georgetown doesn't favor us unless at that point of the season Georgetown is so bad that the team gives up and tanks so that JT3 gets fired.

DePaul game actually is pretty big for us. I would much rather play Marquette who beat us twice by a total of 11 points than Georgetown who beat us twice by a total of 45 points. Assuming of course that DePaul does not get another win along the way either.

Teams to avoid:
1. Georgetown
2. Butler
3. Providence

Anyone else and I see us putting up a tough fight. If we manage to squeak out of the first game I'd love another Xavier matchup. Ellison vs Sumner would be fun to watch.

Nearly impossible to get a win and Xavier.

Best shot for a win in the tournament is to beat Depaul Thursday, move up the the 9 seed, and play Marquette. After that, you take the thrashing by Nova, and call it a season.

Sorry, but I feel the need to stick up for our guys here. We haven't gotten thrashed by nova in 2 games against them this year, so I doubt we'd take a thrashing

We have made them sweat a bit, both games.

After the first meeting, I doubled down, saying they would blow us out in Philly. Now, I'm tripling down, especially since we'd likely have to play them at noon, after a 7 pm game the night before.

If this game happens for a third time, here's hoping that I come out looking like the fool. :)

That's why I'm hoping we end up as the #10 seed....I would rather play the late game on Wednesday and if we happen to win, we play at 7 p.m. the next evening. The 8 vs. 9 winner has very little turnaround time since they have to play at noon on Thursday. I'm hoping Marquette goes on a run and ends up the #7 seed and we play them Wednesday night.

Sumner would leave Ellison as if he was stuck in cement. No contest.

Whitehead was supposed to do the same thing on Sunday.

Jay Wright was merciful..No one wants to embarrass Mullin.. Most BE Coaches have readily admitted we are outgunned in every game. It is a good investment for the BE as a conference if Chris is able to build a l League champion contender. it has been long overdue, for well known reasons.

i really want to win the DePaul game. That would be a nice way to close out the season. A win at Creighton is unlikely as is a win at home against Providence. If two wins is enough to get us into ninth place, I think we have a shot against Marquette. We are not going to win any after that so that would be a great way to end the season.

like they will in the NCAA's?

For those that want Marquette instead of Georgetown, Marquette up by 7 midway through second half @Creighton. Win would tie them for seventh in the conference in the big east with Georgetown.
