I got....
1. Villanova - Class of the conference until proven otherwise. It's just asinine to pick against Jay Wright especially with talented players such as Eric Paschall and Phil Booth returning. Jahvon Quinerly is the favorite to win BE freshman of the year, and Albany transfer Joe Cremo should seamlessly fit right into Villanova's style of play.
2. Butler- Kamar Baldwin could challenge Ponds for BIG East POY, and Duke transfer Jordan Tucker isn't really being talked about, but he's gonna be a problem in this conference. LaVall Jordan is another rising star coach that Butler has produced, and I think they will greatly exceed expectations, and be a top 25 caliber team.
3. Marquette- Markus Howard and Sam Hauser are two of the best shooters in the country. They will score a ton of points, but also will give up their fair share. In the end I like them to make the tourney and be towards the top of the BE standings.
4. St. John's- If you swapped Chris Mullin for Jay Wright or Ed Cooley I'd easily pick SJU to win the Big East, but the biggest question with them is how will Chris Mullin manage all this talent he has at his disposal? Ponds, Simon, Heron, Clark and Keita form the best starting lineup in the conference with big time contributors LJ Figueroa, and Mikey Dixon coming off the bench. Again like Marquette we should be able to score a ton of points, but can we defend the 3 and rebound? Time will tell.
5. Providence- Alpha Diallo should be one of the best players in the conference, flanked by Emmitt Holt, Makai Ashton-Langford, Nate Watson, and AJ Reeves. They lose Cartwright, Bullock, and Lindsay, but still have one of the best rosters in the conference. Factor in Ed Cooley is the second best coach in this conference right now and I think they can finish as high as second in the conference.
6. Xavier- They lose arguably one of the best coaches in the nation, in Chris Mack, and also Treyvon Blueitt, and JP Macura. I'm not as high as most on them with a rookie head coach, in Travis Steele, and a ton of talent lost from last year's team. The loss of Chris Mack is huge. I've seen them ranked as high as 2 on some people's lists, but I think they will finish in the middle of the pack this year.
7. Georgetown- I like their front court a lot. Jesse Govan is probably the best big man in the conference I'm not too high on their backcourt though. UConn transfer James Akinjo should be solid, but I can't see them keeping up with some of the more talented backcourts in this conference.
8. Seton Hall- Losing their lauded star senior class from last year will hurt big time. Myles Powell is still there, and Cuse transfer Taureen Thompson should be a key contributor, but I don't see them making much noise this year.
9. Creighton- Another team that lost a ton of talent from last year's team. Gone are Khyri Thomas and Marcus Foster. They will return Davion Mintz, and some other younger players, but I largely see this as a rebuilding year for Greg Mcdermott and co.
10. Depaul- Max Strus and Eli Cain will form a very intriguing combo, and if all goes right for the Blue Demons I think they could be very competitive this year. They played SJU very tough (embarrassed us at home, and played us very close over there) last year. I don't think they'll be the Big East doormat this year, and will give a lot of teams problems.
