Big East NCAA Tournament Hopefuls

Seton Hall has road wins at G-town,Xavier...I would include the Pirates as still having chance for NCAA.

They have the lowest RPI in the conference, 51 places behind St. John's with just one less win overall. They also have an SOS of 135--which is 58 spots lower than the next team in the Big East. They would have to run the table and then at least make it to the BET championship game if not win it.

That is why the RPI and SOS are so important. We are 14-9 and they are 13-9, but they really don't have a chance.

I have never understood the incentive for st. john's fans to buy season tickets.

Certainly not "status", purgatory credits perhaps.

Haha, seriously from reading all of the horror stories on here of how poorly season ticket holders have been treated over the years, it almost seems like the best way to go is just purchase single game tickets and you could save money AND get better seats.

Then again, I have no idea of the special accesses and all that given to season ticket holders.

My attendance was nearly 100% when I had season tickets. Now, I take an occasional game off if there is something else I have to do. Last year, I got Uconn tickets on one for $8 each. I can often find tickets for between $15-$30. Of, course, I paid $30 for nosebleeds to the Syracuse game...but I moved down to Sec 116 at halftime. The only advantage to season tickets is not stressing about trying to find tickets and also having the same seats every game (assuming they are decent seats). I paid $14 for seats vs. Creighton in the 100's. Can't beat that.

Looks like it will be a dogfight between Xavier, Providence, Georgetown and St. John's for two spots. I think this will come down to who makes the Big East tournament semifinals.

I think tournament talk is too premature. We put ourselves in a hole and we still have to dig out of it first. All we can do at this point is take things one game at at a time and try to move closer to the conversation with some wins
