HIs commitment to RP and STJ paid off. Great get by Rick and Co. back then.
I don’t think SHU will be last again. I can see either of those teams being in the basement instead. But I get why the poll came out that way.I would flip Butler and Xavier but that is about how I would have it.

Whomever Rick told him toThe big mystery is who did Richard Pitino vote for as the preseason BE number one?

Picked first by the coaches. Not surprisingly, Pitino and Hurley each voted for the opposing team to win the league.

Take it from me, post 70 years of age, one often gets a bit more cranky.Doesn’t sound like a guy who is leaving soon.

I agree with ranking UConn above us, right now, and that we do have a giant hole on the roster.Crazy that we are picked over them. They have no holes or major questions to answer.
We have a giant hole that LawManFan is running back and forth through to make bigger like prime Alstott.
As Hurley noted, their D has to improve and be the consistent force it was during back to championships.I agree with ranking UConn above us, right now, and that we do have a giant hole on the roster.
But UConn is not without major questions. They're relying on three freshman for their rotation. They're relying on Stewart and Ross to play medium minutes, or more, if those freshman don't work out. Stewart and Ross both disappointed last year, although I'd agree they have potential.
And, as much as Reed has imposing potential, the guy has to show he can be a 30mpg by not getting in foul trouble. If he's in foul trouble, and their freshman big is not very good, they have very limited big depth.
If he said a word to Pitino fully confident Mas would beat the hell out of himWhat does this even mean? Hurley is kind of hard to take imho.
