Big East Media Day

There were definitely game threads and post game chatter of "what does RJ even do well?" Many questioning what he could do on defense. I remember this because it drove me nuts. lol
You said game threads so I believe it lol. Should come with an asterisk

But why would he say this if Carnesseca is such a great advantage for us... (okay I'll stop now)

Increasing number of games at MSG is GREAT news. Pending good attendance this season, hoping for at least 10 or more at MSG next season.
If the majority of MSG games are weekend / afternoon games, attendance should continue to increase.
Limit CA to the "cupcake" pre-conference games and maybe DePaul.

All well and good but our very fickley fan base needs to realize more MSG games means higher STH package.

realistically we need to win big and really pack the garden to get 10 games next year. Weekends sell more but we gave away ALOT of tickets last year. Quite honestly our attendance sucked considering it was Ricks first year. I absolutely believe this year we will kill it game wise and with that attendance will follow

The Michigan game took a lot of momentum away from the program last year.

so lil info (i did not know) - and Eric keep me honest here.... to host a game at MSG, to turn on the lights- 250k$.... SJU doesnt start to MAKE money until we get ~12k tickets sold. and no... we dont get a cut of concessions... so your IPA expense is going straight to MSG.

Agree that more games at MSG means higher STH package.
I would rather pay more at the "World's Greatest Arena" than pay less at an uncomfortable and obsolete CA.
Glad that Rick envisions MSG as critical for recruiting and building the brand.
New on-campus practice facility and more games at MSG are a great combination.

Of course, but it is like having the electrical in your house done by a certified professional as opposed to a friend of a friend who cannot even differentiate the wires because they are color blind.

Just saying I know this fan base. Most of us know it all too well. I agree anything beats CA these days with those stupid cheap foam seats and horrible AC and fire marshall's worst nightmare when leaving. I'd love to be able to leave the office and head to the Garden. Its been awhile since we had a good amount of those weeknight games.
