SJU played Michigan during the Felipe era at the Nassau Coliseum and drew about 14,000. There are many Mich grads in the NY area and they don't play here often. This game would guarantee a good crowd at MSG.

Great job by Val Ackerman and all of those working for the Big East. This an excellent way to generate buzz for the conference.
Also, I like the fact that the conferences are going to tier these games. Wouldn't make sense to schedule a game like Michigan vs. DePaul.
