So is Darien Williams the second coming of Orlando Sanchez?

And yet you wonder why people call you a troll...

umm...that was a legit question? From what I have seen, their descriptions are not all that dissimilar.

From what I've read and seen, Williams is a better outside shooter than Sanchez and better defensively.

Also a better rebounder. Sanchez was never committed to rebounding or playing defense.

With all due respect Sanchez was a monster on the boards during his time in JUCO.

Very tough to compare Region 15 to the comp Darien faced. Only a few teams could stay within 15 points of Iowa Western.

Marillac- "Very tough to compare Region 15 to the comp Darien faced. Only a few teams could stay within 15 points of Iowa Western."

So was it good comp?

Strong out there. Less cupcakes.

New York is hit or miss. You can face a Sullivan one day that can play with anyone and then play a team like Rockland which has started kids that didn't even make my high school team.

Yea thats what I figured but you said teams were struggling to even compete with Iowa western so wasnt sure if that was an indication of poor competition or just a loaded team.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant that there are only a few teams in the NY/NJ area (Region 15) that could even keep it close with Iowa Western or a dozen other elite mid-west programs JUCOs. Ironically, one of those schools is an NJCAA D-3, but Region 15 has no choice but to have D-1, 2, and 3 play each other.
