He is right there staring us in the face. If he goes elsewhere and kills it and we hire our umteenth disaster hire since Lou then we deserve to sink into total oblivion which is only one step below where we are now.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to compete with elsewhere

A bidding war with Georgetown is very possible and we would likely come out on the losing end of that. Neither GTown nor SJU could compete with a football school that really wanted him. Unless he's really serious about staying in the NYC area. One can only hope.

I thought the Pitino comment about Winged Foot says a lot . Especially if you know where Winged Foot fits in the World of Golf . It’s one of a handful of Iconic Courses . And , while not as exclusive as Augusta National , you don’t become a Member by just filing out a Application . If Pitino was accepted , he had to pass muster from a strict Committee . If it’s good enough for Winged Foot it should be worthy of similar consideration from St John’s .

Exactly my thoughts.

One coach, everybody knows the rules.

Exactly my thoughts.
Winged Foot is a renowned golf club reasonably close to Iona. It has absolutely no bearing on his decision on where RP is going to coach.

I mean it’s not like the Gtown board is like ‘we’re only 15 minutes from Congressional Golf Club we’re a lock for Slick Rick’

The decision is going to be 100% based on money. In particular how much of it schools are willing to guarantee him.

BSSSSS. Get rid of Olivia, and Repole back and we'd ace this.

Repole pays for Rick, Rick gets the top kid, and WE'D WEIN F'ING CHAMPIONSHIPSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Sorry but I just get really sick of people saying yeah we couldn't compete. Yeah we couldn't with the current people in charge, they're just to stupppppiddddddd. Now you get real professionals running the show, damn I really believe SJU basketball could be kiings.

That's the real sad part about all of this.

Will Repole magically make upgraded facilities appear? State of the art locker rooms? Private planes for recruiting?

Tonight on PTI Wilbon and kornheiser discussed Pitino's next move and mentioned SJU Gtown and Notre dame as possible landing spots.... let's go get him.
