This team is Red Hot, what do we have to do to get a back page splash over the same old Knicks, Robbie Cano's facial hair, and ARoid ????????? The REAL NYs team.... The JOHNNIES !!!

These 9 PM starts at the Garden are hurting attendance. It would be interesting to see what a 7PM start would have drawn last night. Not that we are known to pack the Garden the last few years but 9PM in the city is pushing it.
 
If memory serves me correct, the last time the Johnnies were the main story on the backpage of the NY Post was during the 2011 BE Tournament. They put a story up with a photo of Brownlee after the controversial win over Rutgers at MSG. That was when Brownlee walked off the court with the ball in hand and still time on the clock (unnoticed by the officials).
 
I thought considering it was a 9:00 start and we were playing a last place team we had a good turnout.

You may be right about that. We had the back page a few times that year - for sure the days after we beat Duke and UConn. Possibly the day after Selection Sunday as well.

The Baryshnikov on the Baseline aka Dwight Hardy beating Pitt was definitely on the Daily News backpage that year, too.
9 PM weekday starts hurt students with early classes and anyone who works 9-5. They're done for TV, plain and simple.
 
Spring training has started and NY is a baseball town. That will garner plenty of back pages.

in 2011 we were blowing away ranked teams. We beat 1 ranked team during this great run. If this team is playing like this during the BET then we will get a couple straight back pages.

To Moose's point, I think Tanaka is supposed to soft toss on the side Saturday so we have no chance.

I'm pretty sure that's allowed in Japan but I agree big news here!
 
I haven't read a newspaper in at least 10 years. There was enough news online even before the iPad. Now, we are just killing trees for sport.
