was anything of consequence mentioned?

Still going on.  Probably no new news, but it is the gesture that counts.

The gesture means nothing to me if there's no substance behind it, but to each his own.

Re next year’s schedule Cragg: “Hopefully we have Syracuse next year in November! Most likely we both need to win the first game in Barclays in the MTE ... but that is both of our plans too. :) “ Should be fun” He also said we have talked to Syracuse about a home and home.

Asked about an off season trip for players noting the team bonding and recruiting +s

Cragg response - “Bingo! That was the plan the last two summers ... but something huge got in the way :(. Look for some news coming soon ...and you are right ... huge part of building culture, bonding, teamwork, repetitions, etc. Can't wait to be back to "normal" again ...”

I didn't stay on long enough to get to some more substantive points like this.  he also mentioned that our strength of schedule wound up being in top 50??

also, no plans for a major $150M investment in campus athletic facilities.

There are now multiple tweets indicating that if another mass exodus is coming the AD will be surprised.

Is there a plan to get alum and former booster Mike Repole back in the fold?

Answer - That's up to Mike ... when I first got here we had a good start to a relationship. I think he's been pretty busy ... and I'm happy for his continued successes. Amazing what he has built!

What are goals for next season?

Response - “Our goals don't change - make the NCAA Tournament and compete for the Big East championship. We all knew what we signed up for here and the challenges that meant. I'm focused on what we need to do to help Coach A and the program.”

Cragg: “Home and homes are definitely getting more rare with the advent of 20-game conference schedules. But we'll have a home Big Ten game, road Big XII game, a road trip most likely in south Florida and like this year - play the best of the mid-majors like we did with Saint Peter's, Colgate & Monmouth

His point about hoping to play Syracuse is that they are one of the teams in the Empire Classic at Barclays in November.

Wow, if you read some of the nasty comments. Twitter is a sewer. I get him wanting to reach out on social media. I just wonder if it helps. Some of it is ignored but as he says in one of the posts he is doing his best to address the negative posts.

Re facilities improvement

Answer- “THE biggest thing here to get done asap ... from Father Shanley on down ... totally committed to getting this done. Feasability study right now ... and fundraising is taking place.  All goes right - you'll see a big announcement soon. Keep us in your prayers.”

Again he is not going to deliver an ultimatum-He needs to make the NCAA's or he is gone.  That is not going to happen.  Circumstances can change throughout the season that change expectations.

But all things being equal it is pretty hard to envision a scenario where SJU does not make the NCAA's in Mike Anderson's 4th year with no major  sanctions or other restrictions and he is retained.  If the goal of SJU is to make NCAA's EVERY year AND compete for BE titles as Cragg states below (and fwiw I share that goal) and you cannot make an NCAA in 4 years I don't see the justification for bringing him back.  Sorry just being fair.  This is a results oriented business.  It needs to start happening and more importantly start happening now.  And it is pretty clear Cragg is not into some 6-7 year rebuilding.

More importantly the fan base and donors are not going to tolerate it.

IMO as long as we make the NIT and nothing else bad happens(IE another mass exodus, player suspension(s), etc), CMA gets a 5th year. Especially if it looks like Posh and others are returning, and if he has a decent recruiting class coming in. Basically if we show even a slight improvement, CMA is back.

After reading the q&a it’s more obvious then ever this is not a quick fix and the university from president down is committed to building sustained success
