Around the Big East 25-26

Seems like a classy, mature kid who would have been a perfect fit for us.

#3 UConn -6.5 vs. #4 Arizona
Villanova -12.5 @ La Salle
Marquette -5.5 vs. Dayton

Very nice opportunity to sweep a couple A10 opponents, along with of course #4 Arizona. 4-0 tonight (Creighton -26.5 vs. North Dakota) would be great, and much needed.
Villanova has struggled with the Big 5 the last couple years. Crazy how important these games are for the Big East already. Dayton and LaSalle are nothing to write home about. Really need them to get the league back on track. I don't care how good it is for us in the long run, I'm not rooting for UConn. :D

We rooting for UConn and the benefits that would come with that (power win for Big East and better for our resume if we beat them a game or two) or we want them to lose so they don’t win another game against a Top 10 team and strengthen their seeding resume for March?
Ditto. I can’t figure out who to pull for in this game.

Can’t root for UConn. They don’t want to be here. They’ll always be competing so I have zero care what they do for the conference.
Yeah I hate the Yukon. My thought was not what they do for the conference but rather how great we will look after we beat them three times. 😂

Have to root for UConn. A loss at home would be bad for the whole conference.

This. The conference has had a pretty mediocre few years with the BIG exception of UConn's two titles. We need at least one highly ranked team to face during the months from late December through March. Pitino is leaning into the rivalry because he knows how important it is to St. John's. Maybe they leave one day, but for now it was clearly the right call to add them as they've helped everyone financially with Tournament credits, our recent TV deal, national credibility, etc.
