Around the Big East 25-26

Did not beat out Kentucky for late James Felton since he blew it there w his visit;

“Then, at Kentucky's Midnight Madness weekend in 1996, Felton fell asleep during a meeting with an academic counselor and Rick Pitino sent him home. Soon after, Felton announced he'd play ball closer to home, at St. John's.”

Sad tale.

Was really excited about Felton. Then I watched Elton Brand completely dominate him at what I assume was the Super Six (I think that was the name) at MSG. Still gave him benefit of the doubt because really, who didn't Brand abuse in high school?

Was sad to see so much lost potential.

Holloway really in an impossible spot. If I were him I would have applied for the New Mexico or VCU job.

But on the other hand, if I thought I might never get fired, perhaps paycheck stability and a crap winning percentage would be good enough.

SH closing out win over Monmouth
SHU is not good, they do have 2 players that can compete at the big east level (Clark and Hines). Xavier, DePaul, and Bulter would be better suited for Conference USA this year. Having a weak bottom of the big east isn't good for anyone. Lets hope Gtown, Providence, and Villanova can get a non-conference win or two.

Three high-major OOC games for Big East today.

Xavier are 15.5 dogs to Iowa
DePaul 4.5 dogs to Northwestern
Providence 1.5 dogs to Colorado

😭
