Around the Big East 25-26

Within the past day we've seen 3 Big East teams struggle to put away #332 Stonehill. #316 Le Moyne, and #360 Wagner (there's only 365 teams). Good that they won, but those margins at home are going to kill their NETs.

I still think the Big East gets 5 teams in the Tournament this year, but the conference in the NIL era is starting to look like the AAC in the early days. They had some great teams (Louisville, UConn, Cincinnatti, Memphis) but also some REALLY bad teams that brought the conference down (Tulane, Tulsa, ECU, USF, Temple). All of the great teams besides Memphis left (and they're desperate to leave). The bottom half of the Big East isn't as bad, but they aren't helping the conference much either these days.

I still think it can work for the BE as long as the big brands perform. Thankfully the Johnnies are finally contributing, and Georgetown winning tonight is a positive step.

Excuse me while I yawn. I hear this about DePaul every year. They need their Rick otherwise its white noise.

Where are all the CHI ballers going these days?
I get it I am not a DePaul fan.

But the Holtmann hire was widely considered to be a coup and the only reason they got him was because of the commitment he forced them to make b4 he took the job. Specifically the investment into the infrastructure and NIL into the program.

Holtmann was doing just fine collecting a nice buyout check from OSU and he could have waited for a better job.

That doesn't guarantee anything but for the first time DePaul at least sees light at the end of the tunnel.

if it doesn't work out they always have Dave Leitao as a fallback option

Xavier dropped from 62 to 90 on Kenpom after:
- 66-62 win vs Marist
