If Shaka landed Giannis I might change my opinion about him.
Nah, who I am kidding - I already think he's a great recruiter, so nothing would change.
Cooley seems uber confident his Gtown team will be a physical, defensive group this year. Will be interesting to see how that plays. To me post Kalk, Creighton will not be a solid physical team defensively to compensate for his loss hanging out in the paint. We stand out in physical play area, while UConn w Hurley’s urging is trying to recapture that aggression and physical play that helped them win two titles. Frankly, I don’t see any other program capable of defending that way beyond SJU & UConn.
GT is possible, but M’Q has a young roster, talented yes, but imo vulnerable to physical play & the grown men they will encounter.Cooley seems uber confident his Gtown team will be a physical, defensive group this year. Will be interesting to see how that plays.
Also interesting to see how MQ defends losing a physical alpha dog like Stevie Mitchell and everything Joplin brought to the table there. Gold is an outside facing 5, but their PG Jones is back and I remember him as a pitbull, ball of lightning when I saw him as a freshman. And we know Ross is a pain in the neck jumping passing lanes, etc.
Mcandrew and Freeman hard hedging 30 feet from the hoop. Looks bad vs South Dakota, not sure how it will look against some BE guards. Freeman is obviously not the rim protector kalk is but I bet they end up going back to drop coverage. Offense looks like they will still score enough.
They’ve always seemed to have 1 or 2 real athletes that can hang with everyone else. Guys like Kaluma, Alexander, Mo Watson, Marcus Foster, Khyri Thomas. Neal was that guy last year. Maybe Green can be that guy from a front court perspective. But Harper and Graves did not stand out as athletes to me.Looks like Green didn't play. They are going to try and score 90 and stay in front of you on defense without fouling. Don't know if they were over-hedging because South Dakota had great shooters, but I doubt that's who they are come January.
This might be the deepest Creighton team the big guy has ever had.
Kam Jones is gone. You might be thinking of Chase Ross.Cooley seems uber confident his Gtown team will be a physical, defensive group this year. Will be interesting to see how that plays.

Xavier 74 LeMoyne 69 final, could be tough first year for Junior.
Looking through that box score now and yikes. Xavier had 12 extra possessions and shot 13-25 from 3 and only won by 5. That is very troublingXavier 74 LeMoyne 69 final, could be tough first year for Junior.
