Around the Big East 25-26

Just as a reminder, this past February:

At that point St. John's was ranked #12 and UConn #19. Could you imagine this season if we're both top 10?

Well, they're playing on the same Friday this year, but it's also the opening ceremonies for the Winter Olympics, so I don't expect the ratings to be as good, regardless of where these teams stand.

Good find, too bad viewership will be affected for the two biggest BE games this year (St. John's @ UConn on Peacock).

I'll take the over on that.

No one cares about the winter Olympics except for figure skating and hockey, and no self respecting sports fan is going to watch a bunch of speed skaters and snowboarders march into a stadium rather than watch two top 5 teams in a blood war at MSG. The ratings will be huge.

There are more Olympics fans, then there are general sports fans.

The Summer Games last year did their best ratings ever, and the Winter games usually do better than the Summer games.

Personally, I couldn’t care less about the ratings for either the game or the Olympics but I know what I’ll be watching.
One’s exciting and in my wheelhouse, the other a snooze fest, summer or winter. But strictly my opinion.
