Re: future of Dean Dome at UNC...ongoing discussion of future to renovate (~$575M), complete rebuild & but limited expansion near onsite (~$675-$700M)...2 year job for both.. or move 2 miles north & build new on unused property that is planned for a learn/work/play/live community which will be developed no matter what... ~$950M. 5 year job...Last option most likely in the new era where admin wants but donors/fan base prefer existing on campus

This is kind of hilarious because I proposed doing something extremely similar to this.
But the big difference is, you call it the NIT. That is the only way they could have had cake and eat it too. I literally think, if the loser would not be able to say they made the tournament, a lot more people would be comfortable with this proposal.
If you read the article, it sounds like it'll be a split of lowest AQs and at-larges, which I also disagree with. Let all the AQs in the main field, let the mediocre at-larges battle it out.
if we are going to expand... i dont really care either way... but should go this way... cause obvi my ideas are best...
-AQs get in the main draw - Field of 64
-Teams 61-76 compete for the final 4 spots in the field...
would not wanna be a 5/6 seed facing them the following weekend....

Absolutely. It'll basically mean that you have to be a top 30-ish team to be in the dance. Regular season will be important.
Not a fan of expanding the field, but would have been handy for us 2 years ago

I've still never seen a good explanation of how an international pro is OK to play but a former college & league player cannot come back
Next year do the international players have to pay the 100k visa ?
