This is one I agree with. While I was not the biggest fan of him personally when he was our coach, I really think if he had stayed he would have built us into a consistent contender. He is very reflective and obviously has good insight to the current landscape of basketball globally. The NCAA should hire him as a consultant or in another role.
Finally, someone with sense. Allowing college players to bet is a recipe for disaster.

Has D2 and D3 voted on this yet? If either one says no, it does not become a rule.
According to the 10/29/25 edition of Newsday, the NCAA is delaying the implementation of a proposed rule change (moving it from Nov. 1 to Nov. 22) that will allow athletes and athletic department staff members to bet on professional sports. This delay gives each D1 school a chance to vote to rescind the previously approved proposed rule change.
