April Live Recruiting Periods

Paultzman,

Forgetting all the stuff about how many scholarships we will have for 2017, who is the one player you, realistically, hope will get?

Thanks!

I don't see anyone that I feel we are in great shape with, thus the transfer strategy. My friend Happy & others have convinced me that Tucker may not be worth it. Perhaps someone else pops up or a Juco, Just don't see us in the race for Diallo, Bamba, level kids at this point. Win next year & getting those types may be more realistic.

I think a lot of people are selling Jordan Tucker short. While he did not have a great high school season, he is a very skilled player who shoots well from 3 and can handle the ball. I watched him play at IS8 in the fall and was very impressed. He was on a team with TJ Gibbs and Devonte Green and did not have the responsibility of being the primary ball handler. On his high school team, he appeared to be trying to do too much.
I hope the staff continues to recruit him, just my opinion.

Respect your opinion a great deal and I agree Tucker has talent. It's the drive that makes me not love him as a player. Some kids just don't love being aggressive and every time I have seen him he falls in to that category. Maybe something will click with him soon but he likes looking good on the court a whole lot better than playing good on it Imo

Can't argue with your statement. Another thing I noticed watching Jordan this year is that he didn't seem to be enjoying himself. Not sure why, but he just did not look happy, no pun intended.
Sometimes, the adults involved in the game fail to realize that it is a game, played by kids who should be having fun. Hopefully Jordan will continue to grow as a player and a young man during his year in prep school.

Great to see that in a mere one year St.Johns has joined the mix of the better programs for the better recruits... And that's not unbridled optimism... It is and is becoming the facts, the reality.
Good for us!!

Where's Slice?

Eating a few

Okay, I think I've got the hang of this humor now.......

Slice is out trying to convince Mike Dunlap to return. He then plans to visit Charlie Moore, before heading to Arizona to ask Rawle to decommit.

Matt will be all over the best big man transfer following next season. Who will sit and then be ready to play in 18-19. There is your 2017 recruit

Assume someone on our staff has established ties with ex-dookie Andy Borman, who runs the RENS.

Two very talented players who Matt has been tracking closely. There will be a lot of competition though, including Nova. Btw, LoVett's brother will be joining this program in July. MIke Rice is also on coaching staff.
