Amen to that, one of my favorite Knicks. Loved that early 90's team.

Anthony Mason brought swagger to the NYK in their 90's hey day, and with Oakley our own version of the bruise brothers. One of a few former NBA players who sent his son to SJU, and was a visible presence at the Garden. Prayers are with him.

The mid-90 Knicks teams were absolutely my favorite to watch. Even if we didn't win, we didn't take crap from anyone.

According to yahoo sports, Daily News reporting that a former Knick teammate said his condition was grave. The teammate did not want to be identified. Mase is going to need all our prayers. I met him years ago, as the Knicks were nearing the end of the regular season that would find them in the NBA finals. He stopped to talk for a few minutes. A nice guy.

I met Mase a few weeks ago at a Christmas party, he was a gentlemen and fun to be around we spoke for about an hour about SJU ball and how he loved this program Norm Roberts etc. I wish him and his family the best and hope that his strong will can get him through this tough time. Very sad to hear this news.
