He's being recruited by several schools but we are not mentioned in any of the post. What's up?

I too wonder where all the info comes from...... perhaps wjshfull thinking on the part of a few fans?? Usually, when we were involved with a player, it was all over the sites...... there were and are very little surprises.

This is totally untrue. Once again, It is not wishful thinking. It is confirmed by people close to the program that these are the kids that the coach is recruiting. Don't know why you need some gazette reporting it. Btw, much of JC recruiting isn't highly publicized.

Wait, did I violate a site policy here by questioning the source? Oh wait, I forgot, it's all part of MCNPA's plan to get me off the site... Unreal. I know that MCNPA is a mods favorite here, but if one were to look at these interactions objectively, one would see that he seems to want to attack me on a regular basis. But I guess that the rules of the site don't apply to all. And please stop calling me Realfan, while I do aspire to being one.

This site is beginning to feel like an old boys club. As I said in a prior post I appreciate all the work the mods do, but please remember the virtue of free expression. Let's not favor some posters and viewpoints over others. The thing that makes this board great is that it provides an outlet for fans to express themselves. I am troubled that certain posters views are being stifled with the impending threat of censorship. I think the mods are better than this.
 
Good for you viewpoint rather then opinions,I'm sure you are familar with the expression concerning having an opinions and how we all have a particular body part. Now that may go a little too far but opinions are not of equal value. It would seem to be the value of an opinion is based on factual support and the reasoning applied to the available facts.

Put an other way is anyone required to suffer a fool?

If we limited posts to those that are based on factual reasoning, we would have very few posts. This site is a place where fans post their opinons plain and simple. It is very concerning to me that you would suggest that "opinions are not of equal value." Moreover, I'm not sure whether it's appropriate vest any one person with the authority to determine who is or who isn't a fool. Of late, I have seen a number of examples of posters trying to intimidate those with whom they disagree with threats of censorship. While I recognize that several posters post merely to antagonize, might I suggest that the best way to stifle them is to ingore the post rather than respond. Finally, I know that several posters who advocate censorship on these fan boards attempt to justify this draconian step on the basis that "negative posts" may frighten away recruits. While some recruits may read these boards, it strikes me as highly unrealistic that any recruit would base his decision to attend SJU on what a few idiots on a message board have to say. Censorship is wrong -- period. Unless the post is clearly inappropriate, it should not be restricted.

I have no problems with different opinions, but when someone is generally posting negativity at every turn, then there is a fine line. Say it and move on. Why continue to make back-to-back-to-back-to-back posts practically regurgitating the same thing? Then, a day or two later it's being posted ad nauseum. Eventually, you start to wonder is this poster here to rile up the natives for their own enjoyment.

No need to ignore the blatant antagonizers. If their means to be here is to antagonize and instigate, then go somewhere else and do it. I'm sure they can start their own website, if need be. 
 
 I happen to live in Central California and follow JC hoops out here as much as I do HS. I have been fortunate to see Andrew Young play. He is definitely a high major player and could compete in the Big East. He's very skilled with his back to the basket and can face up a little as well. He has a great motor, although I'm not sure if he is tough at heart. Rebounds very well and gets position. Is a legit 6-9 with some bulk. I do know he's being recruited at a high level as manyJC scouting gurus such as Jerry Mullen's have been raving about him. Definitely think it is smart for Lav and Co to get in on this kid.

If he's a terrific rebounder, gets good position and can score then I'm all for it. He doesn't have to be a star. We just need a sound big who can contribute on some level.

You're welcome. I'm new to the site but glad I could contribute. Young is very good!!! And if we can get in the mix I'd be excited. We need a good big and he is that. But I do know he's been getting major publicity in the juco circuit since start of the year. I hope we're not too late to the party.

I certainly will as I am certain that he has been given the same warning as I have. And does that warning go to Mr. Dinkins who is also on the attack here? Just curious? Please note who is attacking who in the future, thanks.
