Andrew Svoboda : Former St. John's Golfer

If he hadn't won last week he'd have no status for the 2014 PGA season via the PGA or Web.com tour. He's probably going to have to play some more Web.com to protect his top 25 status. He's less than 12,000 ahead of #26. Every top 10 finish is worth more than his lead. I'm surprised he's playing the Wyndham this week. He has little to no chance of getting into the Fedex Cup. Best of Luck to him but again, he's only made 4 cuts all year. In fact he's only made the cut in 3 of his 6 Web.com starts as well.

Andrew is playing Wyndham because he may not play web.com event this week. If you are a full PGA Tour member u must
play the big tour event if you get in. He will play in Omaha, Nebraska next week.

Well he almost made the top 200 which would have gotten him straight into the Web.com tour championship, not that he needed that anymore after last week.

On the plus side looks like only 1 person at most will pass him on the web.com top 25.

Andrew Svoboda won yesterday's web.com Chiquita Classic in Charlotte yesterday in an exciting playoff.
Won $180,000 and has a chance to get fully exempt for next years PGA Tour schedule. Two more events left
for players to get their PGA Tour cards for next year.

Andrew Svoboda has made almost $ 1.5 million this year. He and Keegan Bradley are leading the Rivals.com standings for the best one - two punch from the same school. They have made $ 3.6 million combined this year alone. Quite an achievement for a northeast university golf program !!!

Announcers yesterday said that St. John's only has two players on PGA Tour Tour. To have two players from a northeast program is fantastic. Keegan and Andrew are both in The Barclay's Fed Ex Playoffs starting next week at Ridgewood CC in Paramus, NJ. Should be a large contingent of followers on Weds. Pro am !!
