Every game I watched him play, the only position he saw action at was PF.
I remember telling a poster how much he reminded me of David Russell.

Just because he was the second tallest player to start for Findley and they listed him as a PF or he matched up with the second tallest opposing player does not a D1 PF make. If you think not being afraid to play the position is equivalent to be effective at the position well in my opinion you are wrong. Amir is a 6'6" stingbean and if you think he is a big east caliber PF I think you are on something! :silly: :silly: :silly:

No question, and he was the one guy who could have probably walked away from it all, and we would have understood it.

I haven't seen him (or any of the others) play, but I do know this: If and when he comes back, he's the guy I want throwing that full court inbounds pass late in a close game that we trail.
 
When Garrett's SJU career is done, his name will be etched in a list with Billy Singleton and Ty Grant, two of my all time favorites. You can just tell this kid will be someone a fan favorite because he is loyalty. He already bleeds for SJU.

We'll see. You know that idiot Pat Riley actually thought a 6'6 stringbean could defend Larry Bird. Funny thing, Larry Legend says Michael Cooper did it better than anyone.....

Fwiw, shortly after Amir tweeted that he would be at midnight madness, Norvel tweeted: "Guess where imma b at on Friday?". Presumably Pelle will also be at midnight madness this Friday, which would be a GREAT sign IMO.
