With the NBA season possibly not happening, you and the rest can make MSG all yours. The bright lights of the Mecca shining down on you guys and NYC can be all yours with the lockout most likely happening.
Syracuse likes calling NYC theirs and MSG their home away from home. Well step one will be C. vs. C. (which is as you already know is at MSG), win that and you guys would have NYC in a NY minute. Make MSG rock.

Boy! Too bad Polee didn't feel the same way. Tude is so important to making it in hoops (see Alan Iverson, Charles Barkley, Magic, etc. With the baseball fallback thing I had him on my list of likely departures. Now, hearing him talk this way the sky will be the limit. All these kids have ability but the ones with the most fire will get the time and opportunities. Go Redmen!

Never met the kid, but from everything I've read about him and seen from him on the intertubes. He's my favorite new comer this year.

  I REALLY like this kid

hope pelle reads his tweets and feels the same

I want the entire trio of Amir, Pelle and Jakarr on board if possible. We built a tight knit recruiting class. Want to see all kids in SJU red. If we get all the original group here, we can be a final 4 team. One or two of these kids arriving in 2012 and spacing out the ships a little isn't the worst thing. Let's go guys! Amir has been vocal from day 1 which is great. Love his attitude.

Watched Amir play and love his game. He will be a great asset and help propel the Johnnies to a higher level.

Love the way you look at the situation AG. That's what winners talk like in the midst of adversity.

From the games I saw him play for Findley he was not even an inside player at the high school level so I doubt he will be an effective inside player at the high D1 level.

How many Findlay games did you see?

I think the key is that he won't be afraid to play PF for us, and that the 6'8" 245 guy that pounds on him in the post will also have to run the court against him. No one is calling him a traditional PF, but he did man that spot last year. And he's got the heart to give us minutes wherever we need him.

 What games did you watch?
Every game I watched him play, the only position he saw action at was PF.
I remember telling a poster how much he reminded me of David Russell.

Just because he was the second tallest player to start for Findley and they listed him as a PF or he matched up with the second tallest opposing player does not a D1 PF make. If you think not being afraid to play the position is equivalent to be effective at the position well in my opinion you are wrong. Amir is a 6'6" stingbean and if you think he is a big east caliber PF I think you are on something! :silly: :silly: :silly:

You still didn't answer how many games you saw...

The kid is a wing/sf or whatever you like to call it. Without any depth and only one 4/5 on the team this season we're going to need players to play a lot of different spots.

That's the point I tried to make when inferring he will help us inside upon his arrival.

It's that way by necessity though. On any other SJU team I don't think we'd see much of Amir at the 4. He's a 2/3 optimally. All I care is that he makes it onto the court sometime this season. I hope he has a great few years here.
