ALDS: TWINS Vs. NY YANKEES

Thata boy sev!!!!!!![/quote]

They should just put up four fingers for the first two plate appearances in each inning and let Sevy get worked up and get out of it. Pretty cool stuff how he's fired up.

The kid is living dangerously, I'd let him start the 4th but with someone warming up in the pen

Good game. I like games where the Yanks score 8 runs in the first inning and slowly pull away.

Great play Gleyber.
Serious question what good is ottavino?
Just like in game one, first hitter he faces he walks.
To Boone's credit he takes him out instantly. Last year he waits to long.

Is it my imagination, or did they stop showing checked swings when the Twins are at bat?

Gleyber will be the next captain, I'm calling it right now.
HR, 2Double The kid is special.

4 days to relax and watch everyone else play.
Put away the goggles, celebrating with them on smhhhh
Hope Zach is ok

Won't post the whole article.

This was one of the tricks of the Yankees’ success during their dynasty days. If they had a chance to close you out, chances were they closed you out as soon as possible. The first three times they won the World Series under Joe Torre — 1996, 1998, 1999 — they never faced a do-or-die game. Every time, nine out of nine, they finished the job as soon as the job could be finished.

So they get to go home, take a few days off, then ease back into October. The others? Maybe the Astros get it done Tuesday night at the Trop, maybe they’re forced to wait until Thursday in Houston, which will bring a win-or-else gauntlet with it. The Dodgers will roll the dice and hope they can cue up Randy Newman crooning about another perfect day in LA by the end of it. Those stories are all still to be written.

The Yankees will sit at home, kick back, and root for extra innings in every game between now and Game 1 of the ALCS. Their work here is done.

playoff game 3.
game over alds/abcdefg over. thhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhe yankees win. congrats.
old school redmen daily why was he even born award goes to adam o.
adam o's line. one batter. one walk. 4 pitches/4 balls. although 2nd pitch was a blown call.
old school redmen daily savage of the game award goes to maybin.
often maligned yankees pitching staff cooled off the 2nd leading run scoring mlb team.
bravo to torres/didi/the speedster/maybin etc for their sticks.
yankee defense was fantastic especially #99/torres/didi/dj.
bravo boone for making many, many good moves.
I thought all along that voit would make the post season roster, never thought he would never leave bench.
next yankee captain will be the forever yankee - #99.

Yankee memories
Thanks for above posts.
the first 15 years of my life the Bronx Bombers were in 13 World Series (can you guess the years lol) - of course back then all a team had to do was win the league - no playoffs.
And I remember sitting with my Dad watching the damn inferior Pirates win in 7 1960.
Losing stinks - even when it's the Redmen.
How great this year will be if we make it back to the Series.

Go Tampa get another W!
all the best

You say all you had to do back then was win the league, yes but only one team made it, now you have 5 teams in each league making it with a chance to win it all.

Judge would be if he was a little more vocal.

Clearly, the unnamed Captain is Gardner (everyday player), followed by CC.
Next Captain will be Judge (Face of the Franchise) in due time.
Jeter was low key, led by example. Posada was the demonstrative one.
