Purchased a red Adidas basketball hoodie yesterday at the school store, only decent item they had.
Don’t expect a lot of new stuff and a variety of stuff right away. The deal wasn’t done until the end of the second quarter and according to someone with more knowledge than me on the subject says that planning and production runs on this type of merchandise has already been budgeted, scheduled and in some cases done. I believe someone posted similar information when we switched from UA to Nike.
Maybe we will get some more around Christmas but it will be next year it will really pick up.

I just want a generic long sleeve t (no hood), preferably red to wear to games, and these are seriously all of the options right now?
Only one option close to red (crimson), and I don't really like the design. Basically nothing just basic with the logo (without the hood), which should be the easiest ask.
Other sites though do have better options (such as Fanatics), looks like those are from older collaborations (non-Adidas), so that's what I'll go with.
I get there's a transition and things will improve, but I'm not a fan of what they've come out with thus far.

You can always copy the Andrew style. I like the same but it's rarely available, so I often wear a St. John's red short sleeve t-shirt over a plain long sleeve t-shirt. I like Blue, Black, Gray or White under the red . Amazon sells Russell Athletic long sleeve t-shirts for $6.99.

Yeah I mentioned Fanatics in my post as an alternative, and that's what I ended up going with. Will do the Andrew style too for some of my short sleeve Johnnies shirts.
