Anyone know if this is Adidas gear? I know Moose mentioned that were leaving Nike.
I see 3 stripes on the shortsAnyone know if this is Adidas gear? I know Moose mentioned that were leaving Nike.
Most likely, as of July 1st, we will officially be an Adidas school.Anyone know if this is Adidas gear? I know Moose mentioned that were leaving Nike.
Yep, the beginning of the School’s new fiscal year. Most likely, as of July 1st, we will officially be an Adidas school.
Hoping the jerseys stay somewhat similar. Adidas has a bad track recordYep, the beginning of the School’s new fiscal year.
Kansas and Indiana but other than that I think they are all Nike Schools.Who are the biggest Adidas schools currently in basketball ? I know Louisville that's about it off memory
Does Adidas do any unique uni's for higher end programs ? Ex. I remember within past few years.. Nike had logos with gold emblems for certain schools..Villanova was one.
Great! Now I can spend even more money to add to my collection of Nike 1, Jumpman, Under Armour, Nike 2 stuff. Most likely, as of July 1st, we will officially be an Adidas school.
I'm an Italy soccer fan, and they actually switched to Adidas from Puma a few years ago. I didn't have high expectations but have been surprisingly impressed with the quality of what they've come out with. So I'm optimistic about the St Johns partnership, although I'm usually not an Adidas fan.Yup. Adidas has some ugly uniforms.
As a Cane FB fan, I cannot wait for the contract with them to be up. The gear is trash, straight out the basura.

This may need to become its own thread. I could go on (and read on) at length over the gear wars. For the record, I'm pro-Nike for hoops and Team Adidas for soccer. They understand soccer
Basketball TBD
Im hoping that Adidas tries to tap into the NYC synergies that I believe Under Armour at least attempted to tap into when they started supplying gear for the program. I really liked the skyline version of the jersey which I can't recall it was ever officially used. I also remember there being a display set up at their flagship store in Soho, Adidas can do the same. This may need to become its own thread. I could go on (and read on) at length over the gear wars. That said, I'm not sure we've gotten Nike's best over the past couple seasons but was expecting its A-game now that we're a Top 10 team again. I'm curious to see what Adidas can throw at a top-ranked team in the biggest market with a celebrity coach and billionaire backer.
Bring it on, Adidas! Show us your stuff!
Under Armoir is not good for tall people with even a little fat. They run too short.Sneakers I’m Nike all the way. Shirts I hate under armor it doesn’t hide my extra pounds
I’ll be open to Adidas for next season but I’m loading up on Nike when it goes on sale just in case
I also remember a St. John’s Event at UA’a SoHo store where during the event they pulled at least half of the St. John’s merchandise that was on display after the store staff was alerted by a few in attendance that some of the merchandise was for the “other” St. John’s in Minnesota.Im hoping that Adidas tries to tap into the NYC synergies that I believe Under Armour at least attempted to tap into when they started supplying gear for the program. You're correct in regards to the last few seasons under Nike.
If high-end handbag, Eyewear & clothing companies can sell the same clothes celebrities get paid to advertise, you'd think they wouldn't keep under lock & key what's actually desired and would generate $...but that's where we've been. Makes no sense to me.I've only been a fan since 2012, but this will be the school's third apparel license during that time.
I primarily buy shirts, and honestly I wasn't a huge fan of either UA or Nike. My favorite designs have always been team-exclusive stuff, typically incorporating the skyline. I'm wondering if there is some type of licensing issue preventing the school from selling skyline apparel to the public, or if they just want the team having the best apparel. From what I can tell the skyline image is available for public use / sale, but some of the buildings might not be.
Regardless, since Nike didn't give us their best designs I'm looking forward to whatever Adidas offers.
